Our Shade Grown Coffee

Did you know that shade grown coffee tastes better?

Shade grown coffee, like ours, has typically got a high Q grade which means that it can be called, Speciality Coffee, (hooray), with a deep and rich aroma, and a lovely aftertaste. It's coffee that tastes good and does good, too.

How does this magic happen?

At Kulkumry Coffee Estate, home to the Blesséd Brew, we make sure that ethics and sustainability are at the heart of what we do and grow, meaning greater biodiversity in our coffee estate, a greatly reduced need for pesticides and fertilisers, and basically, just more natural goodness all around!

The more trees, the more insects, the more birds, the more leaves, the more natural goodness, and all this leads to better tasting coffee. You can take a little look at how we grow ours in the video above.

We use natural sources of water

Unfortunately, like many parts of the world, we're facing changing weather patterns, and we're struggling along with everyone else to try and work out how best to make things work. But, we're still lucky enough to have a natural water source that flows (rather musically) through the coffee estate. We also harness rainwater and store it in tanks that can later be used in the sprinklers that nourish our young plants.

Re-Wilding

We've also dedicated areas back to nature. It can look a bit wild, but I'm sure the natural fauna love it!

What does all this mean for your cup of coffee?

Not only do we think it makes it taste richer, but it also means that you can buy it safe in the knowledge that we are doing everything we can to support nature.

Why not try some for yourself and see if you can taste the difference? Roasted with care in small batches and then packed in our compostable pouches, we think you can taste a little bit of India's natural goodness in every sip. Buy today from www.theblessedbrew.com today.
